The Oyo State Police Command has arrested three suspected armed robbers and recovered stolen goods worth N31.75 million in Ibadan. The arrest followed credible intelligence about a robbery incident along the Coca-Cola area in Asejire.
Police spokesperson DSP Ayanlade Olayinka said the victim, Ezekiel Inije, was attacked at gunpoint by a five-man gang. Acting on the directive of Commissioner of Police, CP Femi Haruna, operatives tracked the suspects to Oko in Ogbomoso.
Three suspects were arrested, while others remain at large. Recovered items include a Howo truck loaded with 2,000 bags of chicken feed valued at over N31 million, a cutlass, and vehicle number plates.
The Commissioner praised the swift response of officers and thanked members of the public for providing useful information. He assured residents that efforts are ongoing to arrest the remaining suspects and strengthen security across the state.
