Lagos 2027: Sola Giwa resigns as Sanwo-Olu’s adviser

Sola Giwa, who served as Special Adviser on Transportation to Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has resigned from his position.

He announced his resignation on his official X account on Wednesday, stating that he stepped down the previous day.

Giwa described his time in office as an honor, highlighting his role in advancing Lagos State’s transport reforms under the THEMES+ Agenda.

He expressed gratitude to Governor Sanwo-Olu for trusting him and giving him the opportunity to serve the state.

The former adviser explained that he resigned to pursue elective office, revealing plans to contest for a seat in the House of Representatives.

Giwa said his focus will be on improving representation and pushing meaningful legislation to enhance the lives of his constituents in Lagos Island Federal Constituency II.

He stated that this new chapter is about purposeful leadership, effective lawmaking, and delivering tangible benefits to the people he represents.
