The All Progressives Congress has postponed its State, Local Government, and Ward congresses in Adamawa State. The announcement was made in a letter dated February 17, 2026, addressed to INEC.
The letter, signed by APC National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda and National Secretary Ajibola Basiru, stated that new dates for the congresses would be communicated later.
Reports indicate the postponement is to allow Governor Ahmadu Fintiri to complete his planned defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC before the party congresses.
The APC urged stakeholders to note the change while reaffirming its commitment to orderly and transparent congresses across Adamawa State.
