Ahead of the 2027 general elections, former National Public Relations Officer of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Ambassador Oladayo Kilamuwaye, has officially joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Kilamuwaye announced his decision in a statement on Sunday, saying he is convinced that the PDP remains the most credible platform capable of driving national unity, economic recovery, and good governance in Nigeria.
He explained that his move to the PDP was influenced by the party’s ideology and its commitment to strengthening democratic institutions. According to him, Nigeria needs a stable political structure and experienced leadership, and the PDP is positioned to provide that.
The former NNPP spokesman also expressed appreciation to his supporters, urging them to stand with him in the new political journey. He encouraged politicians and citizens to work together for a stronger nation, stressing that political parties should focus on peace, development, and inclusive governance.
Kilamuwaye promised to contribute his experience and voice to help the PDP succeed in future elections, especially as preparations for 2027 continue to gather momentum.
