I mistook my pain for strength, but it was only destroying me,” she confessed, adding that the turning point came when she fully surrendered to God, allowing the Holy Spirit to guide her healing.
The actress revealed that depression once consumed her, leaving her feeling lost and broken. “Depression was my companion; I wore pain like a second skin until God said, ‘Rise,’ and I did,” she said. Dikeh disclosed that she had once battled suicidal thoughts before finding peace in her faith and learning to forgive herself and others.
Now, the actress says her transformation has made her more empathetic and compassionate, explaining that she no longer judges others who act from a place of pain. “When I see people hurting, I don’t condemn them; I pray for them because I know how it feels to lose yourself while trying to survive,” she wrote.
Tonto Dikeh also shared that she has chosen celibacy and purity as part of her renewed spiritual journey.
