Nigeria full of attacking talent, lethal creativity – Tanzania coach Suleiman

Tanzania’s national team coach, Hemed Suleiman, has praised the Super Eagles of Nigeria for their strong attacking power and exceptional creativity ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), which will kick off this December in Morocco.

Speaking in an interview with the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Suleiman described Nigeria as a side filled with “attacking talent and lethal creativity,” noting that the Super Eagles are capable of punishing even the smallest defensive mistakes. Tanzania, who are grouped alongside Nigeria, Tunisia, and Uganda in Group C, will face tough challenges as they aim to progress beyond the group stage.

Suleiman also spoke about his assessment of the other teams in the group. He described Tunisia as “tactically disciplined and difficult to break down,” emphasizing that facing them would require patience and focus. Meanwhile, he acknowledged Uganda’s hunger and passion for possession-based football, noting that their regional rivalry adds an emotional edge to their encounters.

The coach stressed that his team will prepare uniquely for each opponent without losing their identity or tactical structure. He expressed optimism that Tanzania could compete strongly if they remain focused and disciplined throughout the tournament.

Nigeria, one of the favourites for the upcoming AFCON, will look to go a step further after finishing as finalists in the last edition. With their mix of youthful energy and experienced stars, the Super Eagles are expected to pose a serious threat to every opponent in Group C.
