The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) recently held its Passing Out Parade (POP) for the 72 Regular Course, a ceremony that celebrated discipline, courage, and excellence. Among the graduating cadets, some stood out by receiving prestigious awards for their remarkable performance during training. These awardees were recognized for their academic brilliance, military skills, leadership qualities, and overall commitment to service.
The honours handed out included the Sword of Honour, the Academy Medal, and several service-specific awards. These recognitions were not just symbols of excellence but also an inspiration to other cadets to uphold the values of hard work, patriotism, and resilience. Families, military leaders, and dignitaries who attended the event applauded the winners, describing them as true representations of Nigeria’s future military strength.
The NDA POP remains one of the most important military traditions in the country, marking the transition of cadets into commissioned officers. The outstanding awardees of the 72 RC have now been entrusted with a greater responsibility—to serve Nigeria with loyalty, professionalism, and honour as they officially join the Armed Forces.
