Fubara to address Rivers by 6:00 pm

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has announced that he will address the people of the state in a live broadcast at 6:00 pm today, marking his official return after the suspension of the six-month emergency rule.

The governor, who arrived at the Government House in Port Harcourt, said he was humbled by the massive turnout of supporters who welcomed him back. Fubara described the show of love and solidarity as proof of the strong bond between his administration and the people.

Speaking shortly after his arrival, Fubara said the forthcoming broadcast would give him the opportunity to thank stakeholders and authorities who contributed to restoring peace and stability in Rivers State. He promised that his administration would continue to pursue policies that serve the interests of the people.

“I am deeply humbled by the warm reception I received at the airport and at the Government House. It was not just a celebration but a reaffirmation of trust and confidence. This evening, by 6:00 pm, I will officially address the state to acknowledge everyone who played a role in ensuring peace and stability,” he said.
