BREAKING: Hilda Baci awarded Guinness World Record for largest pot of Jollof rice

Nigerian celebrity chef and food influencer, Hilda Baci, has achieved another milestone as Guinness World Records officially confirmed her latest win. She has now been recognised for cooking the largest pot of Nigerian-style jollof rice.

Guinness World Records shared the news on its official X page, stating: “New record: Largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice – 8,780 kg (19,356 lb 9 oz) cooked by Hilda Baci and Gino in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.”

This historic record was set during a grand food event on September 12, 2025, at Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The event, tagged the “Gino World Jollof Festival with Hilda Baci,” brought together thousands of people and generated huge buzz across social media platforms.

Hilda, who first rose to global fame in 2023 after breaking the record for the longest cooking marathon, has once again proved herself as one of Nigeria’s most celebrated chefs with this achievement.

The festival also attracted well-known faces such as Funke Akindele, Enioluwa Adeoluwa, Tomike Adeoye, and Pastor Idowu. Bamidele Abiodun, the wife of the Ogun State Governor, was also present to show her support for Hilda’s remarkable success.
