Armed bandits launched a violent attack on farmers in Kaduna State, killing one person, injuring another, and abducting several others in Kajuru Local Government Area.

The attack happened on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, in Sarkin Bajaga village while the victims were working in their fields, according to security analyst Zagazola Makama.

Authorities quickly deployed security personnel to the area following the incident.

Initial reports indicate that 34-year-old Titus Victor was shot and killed, while 33-year-old Nathan Andrew sustained a gunshot wound to his left thigh.

Nathan Andrew was immediately taken to Bege Hospital in Maraban Kajuru, where he is receiving treatment and showing signs of recovery. Meanwhile, Titus Victor was pronounced dead by a medical doctor.

During the assault, an unknown number of farmers were abducted and taken to an undisclosed location.

Security agencies are actively working to rescue the kidnapped victims and bring the attackers to justice.
