Former Big Brother Naija star, Adekunle, has shared his thoughts about how fans are watching the current season.
He believes that too many viewers are concentrating on love stories, potential couples, and drama, which is taking away from the fun side of the show.
Adekunle suggests that fans pay more attention to the unique personalities and talents of all the housemates.
With 26 contestants in the house, he points out that more than half of them bring exciting content that goes beyond romance.
He also reminds viewers that the show is a game, and contestants have strategies to reach their goals. Focusing too much on just a few love stories reduces the overall enjoyment of the season.
Adekunle encourages fans to watch all the events in the house, like pool parties and wager presentations, which are planned to make the show more fun.
He wrote on X, saying: “Fans aren’t enjoying the show, and it’s disappointing. I haven’t watched since Wednesday and hoped to catch updates, but the conversations are all about rumored relationships and triangles.
“There are 26 people in that house, and many of them are entertaining. This is an entertainment show, not just about love. Think about it –
- A boy likes a girl, he chases her.
- A girl likes attention, plays hard to get.
- A boy talks to other girls, a girl talks to other boys.
It’s a storyline, yes, but seriously, there’s more to enjoy.”
He added that only a few couples from the past nine seasons have actually worked out, yet fans always focus on these unlikely pairings.
Adekunle reminds fans that everyone in the house is playing a game. Some know their plan from the start, others figure it out along the way, and some need constant reminders that it’s all part of the show.
He stressed that there are special events like pool parties and wagers designed for viewer enjoyment. Fans should take in everything, not just the romantic drama.
“This season could be one of the best, but if fans only focus on a few housemates, it will lose its appeal. Let’s enjoy the show and focus on entertainment!”
