Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, has refuted claims that he has left the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
In a statement on Sunday, Mustapha made it clear that the circulating reports were false. He labelled the story as fake, stressing that he had not engaged in any talks with members of the ADC or any opposition coalition.
“My attention has been drawn to a news report linking me to an opposition alliance and their choice of the ADC as their platform.
I want the public to know this is fake news. I am not involved in any opposition group or discussions with its members,” he said.
Mustapha explained that he is one of the key founders of the APC and cannot abandon the party he helped establish.
He admitted that the APC, like other political groups, faces challenges, but argued that the right approach is to address issues from within instead of defecting to another party.
He called on Nigerians to disregard any speculation about him leaving the APC. Boss Mustapha served as Secretary to the Government of the Federation from 2017 to 2023.
