Barcelona’s sporting director, Deco, is quietly working on the exit of two players as the club prepares for changes ahead of the new season.
According to a report by Barca Universal, shared via Diario Sport, the two players likely to leave are Oriol Romeu and Inaki Pena.
Deco is already handling their departures as part of the club’s efforts to reshuffle the team.
Both players are expected to be the first to leave because new manager Hansi Flick does not see them fitting into his plans for the 2025/2026 season.
After winning La Liga last season, Barcelona wants to improve the team even more under Flick’s leadership.
The squad is now preparing for the upcoming season and will play a pre-season match against FC Seoul this Thursday.
Just last Sunday, Barcelona defeated Japanese club Vissel Kobe 3-1 in a pre-season friendly match at Misaki Park Stadium.
