War: US, Israel pound Iran’s largest steel company

United States and Israel have reportedly carried out fresh strikes on Iran, targeting one of its biggest industrial facilities. The attack hit the Mobarakeh Steel Company, a major player in the country’s economy.

Officials from the company confirmed that the facility has been shut down after suffering heavy damage. Key production units were destroyed, forcing a complete halt in operations across the plant.

The company also instructed all workers to stay away from the premises until further notice. This move is aimed at ensuring safety as the extent of the damage is still being assessed.

Reports indicate that at least one person was killed during the strike, while 16 others sustained injuries. Emergency teams are said to be responding as authorities evaluate the situation.

In response, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed responsibility for retaliatory strikes. It said it had targeted American and Israeli industrial assets in the region.

The IRGC warned that further attacks on Iran’s industries could trigger stronger retaliation. The development adds to rising tensions, raising concerns about a wider escalation in the ongoing conflict.
