Senator David Mark, the new interim National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has warned party members to stay loyal. He said there will be no room for disloyalty or anti-party behaviour moving forward.
He gave this warning during the ADC’s 99th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Chelsea Hotel in Abuja. Mark made it clear that only committed and loyal members will be allowed to move forward with the party.
“There will be zero tolerance for anti-party and any form of indiscipline. You are either in ADC or not in ADC. There is no midway in this business. Those who are not with us, we will not carry them along” he stated
This firm statement comes at a time when the ADC is undergoing a major leadership change. David Mark, who once served as the Senate President, has now replaced Chief Ralph Nwosu, who led the party for over ten years.
During the NEC meeting, Mark’s appointment as interim chairman was officially confirmed. Alongside him, former Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola was named the National Secretary, and former Minister of Sports Bolaji Abdullahi became the National Publicity Secretary.
Recently, on July 2, the ADC was chosen by a coalition of opposition political groups, giving it new strength and support as the 2027 elections approach.
