Nigerian actress Angela Okorie has spoken up in support of singer Naira Marley. In a video she shared on social media, Angela recalled how the singer once encouraged her when she was promoting one of her songs. She described his support as something rare in the entertainment industry, which she referred to as “demonic.”

‘’One of these my birthdays, about last three or four years ago, Naira Marley surprised me. He gave me lots of money,. I was shocked. The encouragement he gave to me, nobody has ever given it to me in this demonic industry where me and you know people just envy you for nothing, for being yourself, for being bold, for talking and working so hard. People are just going to envy you.” she said

Angela said she later visited Naira Marley to thank him for attending her birthday party. During that visit, she suggested they do a song together, and he agreed without hesitation. She added that he even promoted the song himself without her asking.

‘’Naira Marley was too nice to me. He doesn’t even talk. He is not a fighter. He doesn’t even talk”

Her statement comes at a time when many Nigerians are calling for Naira Marley to be investigated over the allegations made by the late singer Mohbad. Before his death, Mohbad had accused Naira Marley of bullying him.
