Popular Nigerian music producer Samklef, whose real name is Samuel Oguachuba, has responded to serious accusations made by social media influencer VeryDarkMan. The influencer claimed that Samklef was part of a secret group chat trying to stop justice from being served for the late singer Mohbad.
According to reports, VeryDarkMan alleged that Samklef, actress Iyabo Ojo, actor Jigan Baba Oja, and others were involved in a group that plotted his arrest, leaked his private video, and misled the public about Mohbad’s case.
In a long message shared on X (formerly Twitter), Samklef strongly denied the claims. He accused VeryDarkMan of simply trying to get attention and distracting the public from the real issue of justice for Mohbad.
Samklef explained that the group chat being mentioned was actually formed to fight against bullies in the music industry, like Naira Marley. He said the group wasn’t meant to silence anyone or spread false information.
To prove his point, Samklef even shared a copy of Mohbad’s past complaint against Sam Larry, which was about an assault. He said this shows they were trying to get justice, not block it.
Samklef also said that VeryDarkMan was twisting the story for his personal benefit. He accused him of focusing on unnecessary things like a DNA test instead of the real issue.
He went further to say that VeryDarkMan has been against Mohbad since the beginning. Samklef criticized him for dragging others into drama and clout-chasing by spreading lies and targeting people like Dre and Davido.
In his own words, Samklef said, “VDM has been working against Mohbad from day one. You dey use gullible rats dey chase clout. Who you be wey we go open group chat for you?” He questioned why VeryDarkMan was attacking Dre and involving Davido, saying it looked like he was trying to create more problems.
