Flick tells Barcelona not to sell two players this summer

Barcelona coach Hansi Flick has told the club that he doesn’t want them to sell Fermin Lopez or Eric Garcia during the summer transfer window.

The club is planning to sell a few players to raise funds to strengthen the squad for the next football season. But Flick has made it clear that he wants both Garcia and Lopez to stay.

According to a report from SPORT (shared by Barca Universal), Flick has personally asked the Barcelona board not to include the two Spanish players in any transfer deals this summer.

Lopez, who didn’t start many games last season, still managed to have an impressive run, scoring eight goals and giving nine assists. These efforts helped Barcelona win the La Liga title, and other clubs have shown interest in signing him.

Eric Garcia was very close to leaving the team in January, with offers from Como and Girona. They wanted him for the second part of the season, but he ended up staying.

Flick played a part in convincing Garcia to remain at Camp Nou, and the defender turned out to be important for the team during the second half of the season.
