Former Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand, has advised Jack Grealish on which clubs he should consider if he leaves Manchester City this summer.
Grealish may be on his way out of City, especially after Pep Guardiola left him out of the squad for the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup.
The 29-year-old struggled to get regular playing time last season. He was also not selected for the team that lost the FA Cup final to Crystal Palace.
As a result, Grealish is expected to move to another club during this transfer window. Ferdinand thinks he should consider joining Napoli, Marseille, or even a club in Saudi Arabia.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Ferdinand said Grealish needs to go where he will feel happy — both as a player and as a person.
“If I were him, I would go to Saudi,” Ferdinand said, pointing out that the environment might offer more comfort and playing time.
He also said that Napoli would be a great fit because of the energy and passion of the fans.
Ferdinand added that Marseille, especially with coach Roberto De Zerbi, would also be a good choice. According to him, the fans there would love Grealish.
Grealish still has a contract with Manchester City that runs until 2027. He joined the club from Aston Villa a few years ago, but now a new chapter might be starting for him.
