Officers from the Adamawa State Police Command have caught two men linked to an armed robbery and recovered a car that had been stolen during the crime.
According to a statement released on Saturday by police spokesperson Suleiman Nguroje, the arrest happened after officers from the Yolde Pate Divisional Police Headquarters received useful information. SP Abdullahi Abubakar led the team that carried out the successful operation.
The suspects, Emmanuel Sale, 28, and Jibrilla Hassan, 36, both live in Sabon Gari, Jalingo. They were arrested and the stolen car was found and taken back.
The state’s Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morris, praised the officers for acting quickly. He also ordered that the suspects be sent to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Yola for deeper investigation and legal action.
