Senator Ned Nwoko has responded to Omoyele Sowore’s criticism over the arrest of a TikToker who made serious claims against his wife, actress Regina Daniels.
A few months ago, TikToker Timothy Gabriel, also known as Tuma, posted a video where he accused Regina Daniels of cheating on her husband, Ned Nwoko. Tuma said Regina has a secret boyfriend in Abuja and claimed he knew the hotel where they often met. He even went as far as saying that Regina’s two children are not Ned Nwoko’s.
Tuma dared the couple to sue him, and it appears they took the challenge seriously. Ned and Regina went to the police and filed a case. Tuma was arrested and later remanded in prison.
However, on Friday, June 20, former presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore reacted to the situation. He accused Ned Nwoko of using his influence to get Tuma jailed unfairly. According to Sowore, Tuma only made offensive remarks and didn’t commit a serious crime like rape. He said the arrest was too extreme.

In response, Ned Nwoko shared the same video that got Tuma into trouble. He called both Sowore and Tuma “busybodies” and “nonentities” who don’t know when to stay out of issues that don’t concern them.
Ned didn’t stop there. He made it clear that no amount of online pressure would stop him from going ahead with Tuma’s prosecution. He said, “One million cyberbullies will not stop Tuma from being prosecuted and punished as appropriate.”

This drama has sparked reactions online, with many people debating where to draw the line between free speech and defamation.
