Early Saturday morning, a sudden fire broke out on the Las Vegas Strip, right outside the Aria Resort and Casino. People nearby said they saw two palm trees burning after what they described as a loud explosion. Many shared videos of the dramatic scene online.
One person at the scene said they heard a loud bang and then saw a suspicious car speeding away. Another person said the sound was so loud, it reminded them of a bomb going off.
Both the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) and the Clark County Fire Department responded quickly. They were able to control and stop the fire before it spread further.
Later on, the police gave an update about what caused the fire. They said someone inside a moving vehicle had thrown fireworks. The fireworks landed near the palm trees, which then caught fire. Luckily, no one was hurt during the incident.
