Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane has expressed his anger about how Liverpool behaved after becoming Premier League champions.
Keane believes Liverpool did not act with class after winning the title. He pointed out that the attitude of Arne Slot’s team was disappointing and not professional.
Speaking on the Stick to Football podcast, Keane said that since Liverpool won the title, the team hasn’t played serious football.
Liverpool were crowned Premier League winners for the 2024-25 season on April 27. But since then, they haven’t won any of their league matches.
The Reds drew 2-2 with Arsenal, lost 2-1 to Chelsea, and also suffered a defeat against Brighton.
Manager Arne Slot appears to be using these last few matches to give bench players some time on the pitch instead of trying to win.
Keane wasn’t happy about that. He said, “Liverpool have switched off – they’re irritating me. Even if the title is already won, playing reserve players sends the wrong message.”
He added, “I expected more class. Salah scored and started taking photos while the game was still on. That shows a lack of focus. They need to take things more seriously.”
Liverpool will play their final match of the season against Crystal Palace at Anfield.
