Okpebholo urges police, DSS to arrest NBM President, Ese Kakor over alleged forgery

Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has asked security agencies to arrest the President of the Neo-Black Movement (NBM) of Africa, Olorogun Ese Kakor. The governor made this call after Kakor was accused of using fake government documents.

According to reports, some civil servants who helped with the alleged forgery have already been arrested by the police. The governor said this in a petition sent to the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, and the Director-General of the DSS, Oluwatosin Ajayi.

Governor Okpebholo explained that the forged papers falsely claimed that the government approved NBM to support schools in Edo South Senatorial District. He said this was not just a lie but also harmed the state’s trust in its systems.

He also called the act both criminal and deceitful. He said it was done with help from some low-level government workers. These workers have now been identified and taken into police custody.

The police are now looking into the matter to find out exactly how involved each person was. The governor has promised that anyone found guilty will be charged according to the law.

As part of the action taken, the state government has also cancelled the land title where NBM’s headquarters was built. The governor said this was because of the group’s alleged links to violence and other illegal actions in the state.

Governor Okpebholo has urged both the police and DSS to step up efforts to stop criminal groups. He also wants those who break the law to face justice.
