The Ebonyi State Police Command has removed the dead bodies of a man and his son from Ebebe Junction in Abakaliki city.

Police spokesperson SP Joshua Ukandu said the bodies were taken away on Friday. He explained that the police are still trying to find out what caused the deaths of Mr. Light Nwodor and his son, Miracle.

Ukandu said he got a call from someone about the incident and quickly informed the Divisional Police Officer (DPO). The police responded and took the bodies away. An investigation is now going on to understand what happened.

He added that so far, no one knows the cause of death, and he has not received any update about an arrest from the DPO.

Earlier reports on social media suggested that the man and his son might have died after eating food made by an unknown woman, who is now missing. The police have not confirmed this information.
