In a recent interview on Just Vibes, popular Afrobeats singer Skales discussed why he believes Nigeria has a lower crime rate than the United Kingdom.
He attributed this to the fear of “jungle justice,” where criminals are punished by the public in extreme ways, sometimes even burned alive. According to Skales, this harsh form of punishment makes criminals in Nigeria less bold compared to those in the UK.
However, the singer made it clear that he does not support or encourage jungle justice, recognizing that it is an extrajudicial practice.
In the same interview, Skales also shared his thoughts on Afrobeats music, describing it not as a single genre but as an umbrella term that covers various musical styles. He pointed out that there is no specific sound that defines Afrobeats, highlighting its diverse and evolving nature.
