Nigerian actor and comedian, Ganiyu Kehinde Morufu, better known as Ijoba Lande, has shared a disappointing experience he had while working with famous actress and producer Funke Akindele.

In a video posted on his social media, Lande said he worked on a movie for one month at Amen Estate, which was produced by Akindele. However, he was surprised and unhappy when he received only N90,000 as payment for the entire month of work.

He explained that he was so excited to be invited to work with her that he didn’t ask about his pay beforehand. Looking back, he regrets not discussing his fees before agreeing to join the project.

Lande advised upcoming actors not to see top industry people as idols. Instead, he urged them to always talk about payment clearly before working on any movie set.

“I’ve learned my lesson,” he said. “Next time, I will always ask for my fee before going to any location.”
