Akpabio, Ododo, Bello never planned to kill Natasha – Kogi govt

The Kogi State government has rejected claims that Governor Usman Ododo, former Governor Yahaya Bello, and Senate President Godswill Akpabio planned to harm Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.

Senator Natasha made the allegation during a speech in her hometown of Okehi, Kogi State, where she told supporters that there was a plan to assassinate her. She said she had informed the Nigeria Police Force about the alleged plot.

According to her, Akpabio initiated her recall process after promising financial support to the former governor. She further alleged that Akpabio advised Bello to ensure that any attack on her happened within Kogi State, rather than Abuja, to make it seem like a local issue.

However, Kogi State Commissioner for Information, Kingsley Fanwo, dismissed these allegations. Speaking in an interview with Channels TV, he stated that neither the governor nor the senate president had any discussions about recalling or harming Senator Natasha.

Fanwo emphasized that the claims were completely false and assured the public that the government had no involvement in any such plans.

The controversy continues to draw attention, with many Nigerians watching how the situation unfolds.
