U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that he will buy a brand-new Tesla to support Elon Musk. This comes after Tesla’s stock has dropped significantly, and protests have spread across the country. Many activists are boycotting Tesla because of Musk’s involvement with the White House.
Trump defended Musk, calling him a “great American” who is helping the country. He criticized the “Radical Left Lunatics” for trying to harm Musk and Tesla. The president shared on Truth Social that he plans to buy a Tesla as a sign of confidence in Musk and his work.
Since Trump took office, Tesla’s stock has fallen by nearly 32%. The drop comes after an initial boost, followed by backlash over Musk’s government role. Protesters have gathered at Tesla dealerships, including one in Manhattan where six people were arrested.
In Colorado, a woman was arrested for vandalizing a Tesla dealership, spraying “Nazi cars” on the building and throwing Molotov cocktails at cars. Some Tesla owners have even removed the Tesla logo from their cars to avoid being targeted.
Despite the controversy, Trump remains a strong supporter of Musk. He believes Musk should not be punished for helping the country and plans to show his support by buying a Tesla himself.
