Nigeria’s new head coach, Eric Chelle, has named his first-ever squad for the Super Eagles. He has selected 35 players for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.
Team captain Ahmed Musa is back in the squad, alongside vice-captain William Troost-Ekong and midfielder Joe Aribo. The squad includes a mix of experienced players and new faces, with six fresh talents making the list.
Chelle has also invited some home-based stars, including Papa Mustapha, Kayode Bankole, and Ifeanyi Emmanuel Onyebuchi. The Super Eagles will face Rwanda in Kigali on March 21 before playing Zimbabwe at home on March 25. ToSuper Eagles squad for 2026 WCQ
