Trump nominates Edward Martin as US attorney for District of Columbia

President Donald Trump has nominated Edward R. Martin Jr. as the new US Attorney for the District of Columbia.

Trump made this announcement through a post on Truth Social, where he highlighted Martin’s impressive qualifications and experience.

Edward R. Martin has built a successful career in law and public service. He worked for the Catholic Archdiocese of St. Louis, where he managed legal clinics helping low-income people.

Martin also served as a judicial clerk for Judge Pasco M. Bowman II at the US Court of Appeals. Later, he launched his own law practice, further showcasing his legal expertise.

Since Inauguration Day, Martin has been serving as the interim US Attorney. In his role, he has focused on bringing back law and order to Washington, D.C., and improving safety and stability in the city.

Trump praised Martin for his dedication and hard work, saying he has been doing an excellent job in the interim position.

In his post, Trump expressed confidence in Martin’s ability to handle the responsibilities of the full US Attorney role.

He also noted that Martin’s work has always been driven by a desire to serve his community and create a brighter future for everyone.
