Gbemisola, the elder sister of Nigerian singer Portable, has claimed that her brother is acting under a spiritual spell cast by a family member.

She made this statement while pleading for understanding as Portable faces legal troubles with the Ogun State Government.

On February 6, the Ogun State Government charged Portable and nine of his associates for allegedly assaulting officials from the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development. While Portable remains in hiding, his associates have been detained.

Speaking from his hideout, Portable insisted that he was being set up by certain individuals. He also expressed deep frustration over the situation, hinting that he might take his own life. The singer pleaded with the public to look after his children if anything happened to him.

In a viral video, Portable’s sister, Gbemisola, apologized for his actions. She claimed that a family member named Akeem had placed a spiritual spell on him, causing his unusual behavior.

“People of Nigeria, I greet you all. I am Portable’s eldest sister, the first child of our mother. There are just three of us. Portable is the one taking care of the family. If not for him, I would have died during my sickness,” she said.

She further alleged that Akeem’s influence was responsible for Portable’s troubles, stating, “Akeem is the one casting a spell on Portable, making him misbehave and offend Nigerians.”
