In a shocking and heartbreaking incident, a female banker identified as Ifeoma has reportedly been killed by suspected kidnappers in Anambra State.

According to reports, Ifeoma was abducted in Onitsha. Her kidnappers demanded a ransom, which her family managed to pay. Tragically, despite the payment, the kidnappers killed her and abandoned her body near Ideani Junction, along the Nnobi/Alor road.

Human rights activist Harrison Gwamnishi confirmed the incident in a Facebook post on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. He expressed deep frustration over the rising wave of killings and the lack of concrete actions to address the insecurity in the state.

“Lives are being taken daily, and it’s sad nothing is being done to stop these killings. WHO IS NEXT? If we fold our hands and do nothing, it may get to us,” Gwamnishi warned.

This tragic event highlights the increasing insecurity in Anambra State, leaving many residents in fear. Citizens are calling on the government to take urgent steps to improve safety and prevent more needless loss of life.
