President Bola Tinubu has appointed Adeboye Adeyinka, better known as Zulu, as his Senior Special Assistant on Grassroots Sports Development. Zulu is an experienced sports administrator who has worked in various sports roles, including as Special Assistant to the former Minister of Sports, Senator John Enoh. He has also supported four different Governors of Lagos State, showcasing his deep commitment to sports development.
Zulu’s appointment is part of President Tinubu’s efforts to strengthen and grow sports at the grassroots level in Nigeria. With his extensive background in sports management, Zulu is expected to play a crucial role in helping the National Sports Commission (NSC) enhance the country’s sports infrastructure and nurture young talents.
On Monday, Zulu formally presented his appointment letter to the Chairman of the National Sports Commission, Mallam Shehu Dikko. During the meeting, Zulu promised to work closely with Dikko to create stronger pathways for talent development, ensuring that Nigeria’s sports ecosystem thrives for years to come.
This appointment reflects the government’s ongoing commitment to building a sustainable sports system that focuses on grassroots development, essential for the future of Nigerian sports.
