President Bola Tinubu has resumed his official duties after a two-week vacation in Europe. Upon his return, he held his first meeting with the Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Zacch Adedeji, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The meeting was confirmed by Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, who shared the update on X (formerly Twitter). Onanuga posted, “President Bola Tinubu at his desk this morning, after his two-week vacation. His first meeting was with FIRS Chairman Zacch Adedeji.”
President Tinubu had been on a working vacation in the United Kingdom and France. He returned to Nigeria two days ago, arriving at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja at 7:20 pm. Senior officials of his administration welcomed him upon arrival.
The President’s leave began on October 2 and was part of his annual vacation. Now back at work, Tinubu’s first meeting with the FIRS Chairman shows his focus on key national matters. It also highlights the continuation of his efforts to strengthen the country’s revenue generation system.
With his return, more important decisions and engagements are expected as Tinubu resumes full responsibilities at the Presidential Villa.
