PDP Failed Rivers State – Fubara

Rivers State governor, Siminialayi Fubara, has stated that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has let the state down.

Fubara expressed this sentiment while hosting a delegation from the Senate Committee on Privatisation and Commercialisation, led by Senator Orji Uzo Kalu, on Thursday.

The governor, who seemed frustrated by the party’s lack of response to his conflict with FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, declared that Rivers State will now stand independently to protect its democracy.

He emphasized that the state is now supported by a movement based on truth and consistency rather than party politics.

Fubara explained,

“In our state today, we are no longer focused on party politics. We are focused on a movement. Don’t blame me for not aligning closely with the party.”

“The party has failed us here, so what we are doing is standing firmly on Rivers State soil to defend democracy.”
