‘It’s unfair’ – Enzo Fernandez’s agent reacts as Chelsea punish Argentina midfielder

Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez has been disciplined by the club, and his agent, Javier Pastore, has reacted strongly to the decision.

Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior said during a press conference on Friday that Fernandez will miss the team’s next two matches. These games include the FA Cup quarter-final against Port Vale this weekend and a Premier League clash with Manchester City next weekend.

The punishment comes after Fernandez made a comment about wanting to live in Madrid in the future.

Reacting to this, his agent Pastore described the club’s decision as unfair in an interview with The Athletic.

He explained that Fernandez did not fully understand how his comment would be taken. According to him, the player never mentioned leaving Chelsea or joining another club.

Pastore added that Fernandez only talked about Madrid as a city. He said the midfielder was simply answering a question about which European city he would like to live in someday, not expressing any desire to leave London or Chelsea.
