Nollywood actress Lilian Afegbai has reacted strongly after missing out on a nomination at the AMVCA 2026 awards.

The actress expressed disappointment after the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards nominations were announced without her name.

She pointed out that her role as Idia in the series To Kill A Monkey gained massive attention and was widely talked about.

Afegbai also noted that her performance was strong, claiming her character stood out among others in the show.

Despite the snub, she said she does not rely on awards for validation or recognition.

She concluded her reaction by saying the organisers could “eat their award,” expressing her frustration in strong terms.
