The Lagos State Internal Revenue Service Lagos State Internal Revenue Service has extended the deadline for individual tax returns to April 14, 2026.
This gives taxpayers extra time beyond the earlier April 1 deadline to properly file their returns.
The agency explained that the extension will help individuals complete their filings without errors or pressure.
LIRS also stressed that tax filing is a legal duty and must be done by all eligible taxpayers.
All submissions must be made online through the official eTax platform, as manual filing is no longer allowed.
The agency added that Nigeria’s ongoing tax reforms aim to improve compliance and make the system more modern and efficient.
