Former Jigawa federal lawmaker, Ubale resigns from NNPP amid political realignments

Former federal lawmaker Safiyanu Ubale has officially resigned from the New Nigeria Peoples Party, citing the need to adjust to Nigeria’s changing political environment.

In his resignation letter, Ubale explained that current political developments require leaders to reposition themselves for better impact and national progress.

He noted that his decision was made after careful reflection on the direction of the country and the need to join a platform better suited for change.

Ubale, who previously served under the Peoples Democratic Party from 1999 to 2015, later joined NNPP and held various roles across different levels.

Although he did not reveal his next move, there are strong indications that he may align with the African Democratic Congress.

His resignation adds to growing political shifts in Nigeria, especially as key figures reposition ahead of future elections.
