Support for Donald Trump appears to be weakening as a new national poll shows declining approval tied to the ongoing conflict with Iran. The survey highlights growing concern among Americans over military involvement.
According to the poll, only 42 percent of voters support the U.S. military action, while a majority of 58 percent oppose it. A significant portion of respondents expressed strong opposition, reflecting unease about the direction of the conflict.
Political divisions remain clear, with Republicans largely backing the move, while Democrats and independents show much lower support. This gap suggests that opinions on the issue are still deeply shaped by party affiliation.
The poll also reveals rising worries about national security. Many respondents believe the conflict could make the United States less safe in the long run, while a smaller group feels it may not have much impact either way.
Disapproval of Trump’s handling of the situation has increased noticeably. Around 64 percent of voters now disapprove of his approach to Iran, while overall foreign policy ratings have also slipped in recent weeks.
Trump’s general approval rating has dropped to 41 percent, with 59 percent disapproving. The figures mark one of the highest levels of dissatisfaction recorded, showing that the Iran issue is having a strong effect on public opinion.
