A High Court in the Federal Capital Territory has ordered all parties to maintain the current state of a disputed property in Wuye District, Abuja. The case involves multiple claims over ownership and development rights on the land.
The dispute is between Goldenbird Investment Limited and Promiseland Building and Construction Limited, alongside the Federal Capital Territory Administration. The court gave the directive to prevent further actions until the matter is fully decided.
Goldenbird claims it has held a valid lease on the land since 2007 and has fulfilled all legal obligations. The firm also accused the other parties of forcefully taking over part of the property and starting development despite the ongoing case.
On the other hand, Promiseland is relying on a more recent allocation to justify its actions. The court’s decision to maintain status quo aims to avoid further conflict while legal proceedings continue.
