President Trump says he is ‘not happy’ with UK prime minister for refusing to join the war on Iran

U.S. President Donald Trump has expressed disappointment with the United Kingdom over its refusal to join efforts in the ongoing Iran conflict. He said he was “not happy” and surprised by the stance taken by Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

Trump urged the UK to support moves aimed at reopening the Strait of Hormuz, a key route for global oil supply. The waterway has been affected by tensions involving Iran, leading to rising energy prices worldwide.

The US leader also criticised Starmer for consulting his team before making decisions, suggesting that stronger and quicker leadership was needed. He insisted that allied nations should act more decisively in supporting US efforts.

However, the UK government has maintained its position, stating it does not want to be drawn into a wider war. Starmer emphasized the need for peace and a quick resolution, while prioritising diplomatic solutions over military involvement.
