Boko Haram terrorists Attack Kautikari Community in Borno, Residents Flee Amid Gunfire and Arson

Suspected Boko Haram/ISWAP insurgents on Thursday evening attacked Kautikari village in Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State, forcing residents to flee as gunmen fired sporadically and set homes ablaze.

The assault comes weeks after a March 30 attack on the same community, where several people, including a local hunters’ commander, Mallam Bumto, and a bride-to-be, Johanna Peter, were killed.

A security source confirmed the attack, noting that casualties remain unclear as residents scramble for safety, while reports indicate widespread looting and renewed displacement.
