Iran has intensified attacks across the Gulf region, targeting transport systems and key civilian infrastructure. Reports say drones and missiles were launched toward commercial vessels and areas near Dubai International Airport as tensions rise between Iran, the United States and Israel. Iranian leaders warned that the conflict could turn into a long war that may affect global energy supplies.
The conflict has also spread across several parts of the Middle East. Israeli forces have continued airstrikes against positions linked to Hezbollah in Lebanon, while rockets and missiles have been launched toward Israel. The violence has led to heavy casualties and forced hundreds of thousands of families to leave their homes.
On Wednesday night, Israeli jets carried out strikes in southern Beirut after Hezbollah launched drones and rockets toward northern Israel. The attacks reportedly happened at the same time Iranian missiles were fired, marking a rare moment of coordinated strikes from both Iran and Hezbollah since the war began.
Gulf countries have also responded to the rising threat. Kuwait and Saudi Arabia said their air defenses intercepted several Iranian drones heading toward strategic locations, including the Shaybah oil field. Meanwhile, large funeral gatherings were held in Tehran for commanders and Iran’s former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei who died during early strikes in the conflict.
