Iran has released a video showing what it claims are captured United States soldiers during the ongoing conflict involving the US, Israel and Iran. The footage circulating online shows the men kneeling with their hands tied behind them. Authorities in Iran say the soldiers were taken during recent military clashes.
The crisis reportedly escalated after airstrikes carried out by the United States and its ally Israel targeted Iranian positions in late February. The attacks reportedly led to the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei.
Since the incident, tensions have continued to rise across the region. Iran has responded with missile and drone strikes targeting US interests in nearby countries as well as Israeli locations.
Reports indicate that several US soldiers have been killed during the crisis, while many others have been injured. The situation has raised fears of a wider conflict in the Middle East as both sides continue military actions.
