The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has declared that Tehran, not Washington, will decide the end of the war, dismissing President Trump’s timeline as false. Spokesperson Brigadier General Ali Mohammad Naeini accused Trump of fabricating military successes after US setbacks.
Naeini said Iran’s armed forces have destroyed US military infrastructure in the Persian Gulf region and will continue to determine the conflict’s progression. He denied claims that US and Israeli attacks have weakened Iran’s missile capabilities, noting more projectiles are being fired with heavier warheads.
The IRGC added that no oil will be exported to aggressors or their allies, warning that attempts to influence global oil and gas markets will be temporary and ineffective. Tehran insists that only Iran controls access to its resources during the conflict.
Meanwhile, South Korean President Lee Jae Myung confirmed that the US is redeploying military equipment from his country, including artillery and air-defence systems, to the Middle East to support operations against Iran.
Lee noted that his government opposed the move but cannot force Washington to reverse it. He added that the removal of these weapons will not affect deterrence against North Korea, maintaining the US-South Korea security strategy.
Local media reported that Patriot missile defence systems were shipped from Osan Airbase, likely heading to US bases in Saudi Arabia and the UAE, though South Korean authorities have not officially confirmed the redeployments.
