The Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation confirmed a fire on Monday at the Federal Secretariat Complex, Phase II, Abuja, affecting the 4th Floor of Block C, home to the National Board for Technology Incubation.
Mrs Eno Olotu stated that building emergency protocols were promptly activated, with the Federal Fire Service and other agencies quickly responding.
No casualties were reported, and all staff on the affected floor were safely evacuated. Mrs Didi Esther Walson-Jack praised the emergency teams for their fast and effective response.
A full investigation will determine the fire’s cause and assess the building’s structural safety, while precautionary measures have been put in place to secure the area.
