The Niger State Civil Service Commission has warned Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to submit promotion recommendations for officers on Grade Levels 07–14 for the January–June 2026 exercise. Delays in past submissions affected timely promotions and created backlogs requiring double or triple promotions.
A circular signed by Permanent Secretary Yahaya Ibrahim Gulbinboka directed all MDAs to submit relevant documents to the Chairman’s office by Monday, 9th March 2026. The statutory oversight of the exercise is scheduled to begin on 16th March 2026.
Gulbinboka stressed that adherence to the deadline is crucial for maintaining morale, discipline, and efficiency within the State Civil Service. He urged all MDAs to comply strictly to prevent delays or disruptions in the promotion exercise.
The Commission also reaffirmed its commitment to fairness, transparency, and due process. Officials were reminded that timely submissions ensure every eligible officer is considered promptly and fairly according to established rules.
