The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Plateau State has re-elected Hon. Rufus Bature as its State Chairman during the party’s congress in Jos. The event was well attended by party leaders, stakeholders, delegates, and observers from INEC.
Chairman of the State Congress Committee, Hon. Oscar Yelwa, praised members for adopting consensus and peaceful engagement. He explained that the congress was held to usher in a new executive team to guide the party’s activities in the state.
In his acceptance speech, Bature promised to strengthen the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections. He described his re-election as a major responsibility and assured members that the new leadership would remain committed to the party’s core values.
Governor Caleb Mutfwang called the congress historic and urged members to stay united. He also encouraged strong grassroots mobilization, asking every party member to recruit at least ten new supporters.
